Green Innercity Buses: California studies show, hydrogen buses a lot more expensive than diesel vehicles

Test studies and three year long experiments of the Valley Transportation Authority (VAT) and SamTrans in Northern California’s Silicon Valley now came to disappointing results: Hydrogen powered buses are much expensive to operate than diesel vehicles. For three years, the two partner ran three buses that run on hydrogen fuel cells, emit no smog-inducing pollutants and help keep the air clean.
