Tara Tiny: World’s Cheapest Electric Car

Posted in: Gadget News, GreenTech, Cars

tara_tinySure, we’ve heard of eco-fueled and hybrid cars before but they are just expensive and still use gas so spending for expensive gas is inevitable. And then there’s the Tata Nano, said to be the cheapest car in the world. But what I love most about technology and innovation is that they make our lives better and cheaper too. Case in point : the Tara Tiny electric car.

The Tara Tiny which is sold for $2,450 and can seat two, $50 cheaper than the Tata Nano, has already dethroned the latter as the most affordable car.

From Tara International, Tara Tiny can be charged through 15 amp sockets at 220 volts for 8-hours to be used to travel 80-100 kms. The car manufacturer has teamed up with Acuma, leading player of electrical vehicle in China to finalize the super tiny car.
